FAQs

What frequency ranges and bandwidths do MEMtronics filters work over?

MEMtronics filters can operate with passbands as low as 4 GHz and as high as 50 GHz or more. Bandwidths can range from 0.5% up to higher than 50%.

Where are MEMtronics’ filters manufactured?

MEMtronics’ filters are designed, fabricated, aligned, and tested all within the continental United States. We are registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) and follow all restrictions imposed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) of the US Government.

What standards are the filter products made to?

MEMtronics implements a quality management system that is compliant to the AS9100 certification based on the standard published by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) titled “Quality Systems-Aerospace-Model for Quality Assurance in Design, Development, Production, Installation and Servicing”. MEMtronics and its subcontractors can also test and qualify parts to most of the DOD military standards, such as MIL-STD-883, depending on customer requirements.

How are the filters fabricated?

MEMtronics utilizes batch fabrication methods in building moderate to large quantities of filters. Filters are manufactured in wafer form, utilizing separate processes for drilling, metallizing, and singulating the filters.

Does MEMtronics make packaged filters?

No, MEMtronics only makes integrated filter circuits which are intended to go into the customers’ housing or next higher-level assembly.
